1. A day on the beach at l’Ampolla

Platja de l’Ampolla is the largest beach in Moraira, with fine sand, calm water and a lifeguard in season. If you want to snorkel, head for the small coves of Les Platgetes; the shell-shaped beach of El Portet has shallow water. 2. Climbing to the Torre del Cap d’Or

The sixteenth-century watchtower at the highest point of the Cap d’Or was built to guard the coast against pirates. 3. The castle on the beach

The castle of Moraira was built around 1742 to defend against Barbary pirates and stands on a rocky point above l’Ampolla. It is one of the village’s defining sights. You can read more about its history at El Castillo.

4. A walk along the marina

5. The Friday market
