Terra Mitica from Moraira
Terra Mítica – the theme park at Benidorm
Terra Mítica is the large theme park on the edge of Benidorm, built around the ancient cultures of the Mediterranean. A day at Terra Mítica from Moraira is about three quarters of an hour’s drive. The park is not open all year, nor every day, so it pays to plan your visit in advance: which zones are open, what a ticket costs and how to avoid the crowds.
Five themed zones and the best-known rides
The park is divided into five zones: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Las Islas and Iberia. Each zone has its own sets, restaurants and rides. For thrill seekers the best-known are Titánide, a coaster on which you hang below the track with your legs free and reach speeds above 100 km an hour, Inferno, the giant swing Synkope and the 54-metre drop tower El Vuelo del Fénix. For something gentler there are water rides such as Los Rápidos de Argos and family rides spread across the park.
There are also shows through the day, such as the Barbarroja pirate show. In summer the water park in the Iberia zone is open as well, with pools and slides; in 2026 from 27 June to 6 September.
The 2026 season and opening hours
In 2026 the park is open up to and including 1 November. Outside summer not all zones are open: the park then limits itself to Egypt, Greece and Rome. Opening hours vary by day, roughly from 10:30 or 11:00 until 19:00 or 21:00, and outside high season the park is closed on some days. So always check the current calendar on the official website first.
Halloween in October
From 3 October 2026 the park is given over to Halloween. On the Saturdays of 3, 10, 17 and 24 October there are Horror Nights as well. Check the times and admission conditions on the park website.
Tickets and prices
Tickets are cheapest bought online and in advance. In 2026 online prices start at about € 34 per adult on quiet days; in high season the standard price is around € 49 for adults and € 42 for children aged 4 to 12 and over-65s. Prices vary by date; check the current rate when booking. Your own food may not be taken into the park, but there is a picnic area by the entrance.
Practical tips for a quiet day
- Choose a weekday in June or September if you can, and avoid weekends and public holidays in July and August.
- Be there at opening time. Most visitors start in Egypt and Rome; walk straight on to Greece and the queues for Titánide and Synkope are often shorter.
- In summer bring sun protection: you are outdoors for much of the day.
From Moraira to Terra Mítica
Benidorm is about 42 kilometres from Moraira. By the AP-7 you reach the park in roughly 40 to 45 minutes; it lies on the landward side of Benidorm, a few kilometres from the beaches. Without a car you can take the TRAM d’Alacant: line 9 from Teulada to Benidorm and on from there with line 1 to the Terra Mítica stop. Bear in mind that this takes considerably longer.
If you still have energy left for the rest of the day, Benidorm itself has the beaches and the promenade; see our page on Benidorm. An overview of all the theme parks and water parks in the region, such as Aqualandia and Mundomar, is on our page visiting a theme park, and more outings with children can be found at things to do in Moraira for children.
