Theme parks
Theme parks on the Costa Blanca
If you want to visit a theme park from Moraira, in most cases you drive to Benidorm, about half an hour to three quarters of an hour away. There you will find two water parks, two animal parks and the Terra Mítica theme park close together. Pay attention to the seasons: almost every park in this region closes in winter. Below you will find, for each park, the address, the telephone number, the website and the prices, so that you have it all in one place.

Water parks
Aqualandia
Aqualandia lies at the foot of the Sierra Helada, on the side of the Rincón de Loix district in Benidorm. The park has slides for the daring, such as Verti-Go, Big-Bang and Black-Hole, but also quieter parts such as the lagoon and the wave pool. In high season the park is open from 10.00 to 20.00. There are picnic areas and free parking. Do remember that the season ends at the end of September.
Aqua Natura
Aqua Natura is the water park of Terra Natura Benidorm. It has about 700 metres of slides and separate paddling pools for the smallest children. A combined ticket with the animal park is usually better value than two separate tickets. The season runs on longer than Aqualandia’s, but the stated dates differ — to be sure, call +34 966 072 770 if you want to go in October.
Animal parks
Mundomar
Mundomar is a marine and animal park with dolphins, sea lions, parrots and other exotic birds, and besides those, lemurs, coatis and tortoises among others. There are shows with the dolphins, the sea lions and the birds. The park is next to Aqualandia and has the same telephone number; there are combined tickets for both parks. Parking is free.
Terra Natura
Terra Natura is a zoo in which the animals live in spacious, naturally laid-out enclosures. The season runs from early April to early November, longer than that of the water parks. In the winter months this park is closed too.
Terra Mítica theme park
Terra Mítica is the region’s big theme park, with roller coasters and shows built around the ancient civilisations of the Mediterranean. The park is divided into the zones Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia and Las Islas; outside high summer not all the zones are open. The opening calendar, prices and tips for the queues are on our separate page about Terra Mítica from Moraira.
Further afield, or out in nature instead
For a longer day you can drive to Valencia, about an hour and a half, for the Oceanogràfic and the Bioparc. Tips for that city are on our page about a day trip to Valencia. If you are after somewhere cool without slides, the Algar waterfalls with their natural swimming pools are a good alternative — and DinoPark is right next door, so those two go well together. More ideas for a day with children, close to home as well, are on what there is to do in Moraira for children.
The former Safari Park Vergel near Dénia, for years the nearest animal park, closed for good in 2010. Safari Aitana near Penàguila does still exist, but its opening times and rates cannot be verified at present; call +34 965 529 273 before you drive out that way.
A tip for a park day
Set out early: the drive to Benidorm is short, and whoever is inside at opening time has the shortest queues and the least heat for the first few hours. Buy tickets online where you can; at Aqualandia that saves six euros an adult in 2026, at Mundomar six euros a ticket as well.
