Public transport to Moraira
Public transport to Moraira – from Alicante and Valencia
Reaching Moraira by public transport is possible, but it takes some planning. Moraira has no railway station and does not sit on the main coastal bus routes. The hub is Teulada, slightly inland: the ALSA coaches between Alicante and Valencia stop there, and it has a station on tram line 9. From Teulada, the local bus or a taxi covers the last stretch to Moraira.

From Alicante-Elche airport
By ALSA coach
The simplest option: ALSA links Alicante airport with Teulada, Benissa and Benitachell among others. The route you need is the L526 (Jávea–Alicante–Aeropuerto). Match your flight to the timetable and book ahead where you can, through alsa.com. At Teulada you change to the local bus or a taxi for Moraira.
By bus and tram
Bus route C-6 runs from the airport into the centre of Alicante and connects with the tram at the Alfonso X El Sabio and Luceros stops. Tram line 1 reaches Benidorm in around 70 minutes; there you change to line 9 towards Dénia and get off at Teulada station. Work on the viaducts of line 9 may mean a further change along the way, at Calp for instance, so check beforehand at tramalicante.es. In every case, expect several changes and a longer journey than by coach.
From Valencia airport
Metro lines 3 and 5 take you from the airport into the centre of Valencia. From Valencia bus station, ALSA runs the route towards Alicante with a stop in Teulada. As a guide, a single Valencia–Teulada costs around 13.50 euros and Alicante–Teulada around 9.50 euros; check current fares when you book. There is no direct coach between Valencia airport and Teulada, so expect at least two changes and a considerably longer journey than by car.
The last stretch: Teulada – Moraira
Autobuses Ifach runs line 3 between Calpe, Moraira and Teulada. In Teulada the bus stops at, among others, the junction by the El Pla industrial estate, close to the ALSA stop, and on Avenida Mediterráneo. Moraira has four stops: Moraira (Ctra. Moraira a Calpe 1), Germisant (no. 144), Algas (no. 196) and Cruce Benitatxell (Ctra. Moraira–Teulada 206). In winter the bus runs roughly from 7.45 to 19.15, and in summer until about 20.20. You pay with a rechargeable card; the deposit on the card is 2.50 euros.
If the bus does not fit your plans, a taxi is the easiest answer. The Moraira taxi rank is on Avenida de Madrid, the same street as Calamora: +34 965 744 281. The ride from Teulada station to Moraira takes about ten minutes.
Tip
Timetables differ by season and are often thinner outside the summer. Autobuses Ifach publishes its times only as an image on its own site, so if in doubt ring +34 965 835 591 for the current winter or summer service. After a late landing, count on a transfer or a taxi in any case.
When a transfer makes more sense
With a lot of luggage, with children, or arriving in the evening, a transfer booked in advance is often the calmest choice; see transfer service to Moraira. Which airport suits you best is covered on flying to Moraira. For buses and taxis during your stay, to Calpe for instance, see getting around Moraira.
If you get stuck, the municipal tourist office can help: Tourist Info Teulada Moraira, Avenida de Madrid 15 (Edificio Espai La Senieta), 03724 Moraira, +34 965 745 168, turismoteuladamoraira.com.

With a shuttle booked in advance you are there in about 1.5 hours. Travelling on scheduled buses with changes, allow 2.5 to 3 hours.
Can I come from Valencia by public transport as well?
