Activities for older visitors in Moraira
Around five o’clock, as the sun slowly sinks behind the mountains of Moraira, you can feel the salty sea air on your skin. That is when life in this picturesque little town on the Costa Blanca comes to rest, an ideal moment for older visitors to experience the charm of Moraira. Moraira has a great deal to offer the somewhat older holidaymaker who is looking for a mix of relaxation and gentle adventure.

Walking along the coastline
One of the pleasant activities for older visitors in Moraira is the walk along the beautiful coastline. Start at the picturesque harbour of Moraira and follow the path towards Cala Llebeig. This route, about 4 km long, is ideal for a relaxed walk in which you can admire the rocky coves and the sound of the waves. Good walking shoes are recommended, above all because some stretches of the path can be uneven. 📍 See Cala Llebeig on Google Maps
Visit the local markets
Every Friday there is a colourful market on the Les Sorts car park in Moraira, where you can wander along stalls full of fresh fruit, handmade souvenirs and local delicacies. The stalls are there from about 09:00 to 14:00; the town hall publishes no fixed hours. It is a perfect place to dive straight into the local culture and perhaps also to find that one special souvenir.
Enjoying quiet beaches
Moraira is also known for its quiet beaches. Playa del Portet, only a short walk from the centre, offers a calm and safe place for older visitors to enjoy the sun. The beach has gentle slopes into the water, which makes it easy to get in. There are also several little cafés and restaurants along the coast where you can enjoy a lunch with a view of the sea. 📍 See Playa del Portet on Google Maps
After a day full of experiences, it is lovely to return to the comfortable apartments of Calamora. Both apartments have free WiFi and a Sonos sound system, perfect for a relaxed evening at home. Parking is free opposite the apartments, which adds to the ease of your stay.
