Getting around Moraira is straightforward: the centre is small enough to do everything on foot, and for outings you can choose between the local bus, a taxi, a car of your own or a hire car, or a bicycle. From Calamora it is a few minutes’ walk to the beach, the marina and the restaurants. Moraira on foot
From Calamora it is roughly 200 metres to the beach and about 250 metres to the marina. Terraces and restaurants are some 50 metres away. For the daily shopping, a trip to the beach or an evening stroll you need no transport at all in the centre. Suggestions for longer walks are under walking routes around Moraira.
By bus
Autobuses Ifach runs line 3 between Calpe, Moraira and Teulada, with four stops in Moraira. In winter the bus runs roughly from 7.45 to 19.15, and in summer until about 20.20. You pay with a rechargeable card, on which there is a 2.50 euro deposit. For current times: Autobuses Ifach, +34 965 835 591. By car
For day trips to Jávea, Calpe, Guadalest or the wine country inland, a car is the easiest answer. You can hire one at the airport on arrival, or later for a few days; see car hire in Moraira. The centre of Moraira has a blue zone with paid parking, with hours that differ by season; on Sundays and public holidays it is free. At Calamora you park free of charge across the street, so the car can simply stay put as long as you are in the village.
By bicycle
Around Moraira you ride along coast roads and through a hilly hinterland of vineyards. There are bike rental firms in the region with collection points in Calpe, Jávea and Dénia among others; when you book, ask whether delivery to Moraira is possible. Do you really need the car?
In Moraira itself you walk everywhere: the beach, the harbour, the supermarket and the Friday market are all a few minutes from the centre. A car only pays off once you want to head out into the region. Consider hiring for a few separate days rather than the whole week.

Is there public transport in Moraira?
