Visit Cala Llebeig – a hidden beach on the Costa Blanca

Cala Llebeig is the beach for those who prefer to be away from people. Hidden between Moraira and Jávea, only accessible via a hiking trail or by boat, this small pebble beach has been spared from development and beach bars.

Parking and route: the shortest walk starts at the parking lot at the end of Carr. a la Cala in the Cumbre del Sol area (Benitachell) — from there it’s about 20 minutes via a clear path with some steps. A more scenic, longer option is to park at Cala del Moraig (note: paid parking in high season) and follow the cliff route SL-CV 50, passing old caves — expect about 45 to 60 minutes one way.

The water is remarkably clear — ideal for snorkeling among the rocks at the edges of the bay. Be sure to bring water and something to eat: there are no facilities on the beach itself. Wear sturdy shoes, not flip-flops — the path is rocky and narrow in places.

Exactly the effort to get there is why Cala Llebeig always remains quiet, even in high season.
