Algas l’Andragó is a beach bar at the Cala de l’Andragó, the small cove on the coast road from Moraira to Calpe. At the Cala de l’Andragó
The bar is on the Carretera Moraira–Calpe at kilometre 1.9, right on the cove. The terrace looks out over the sea and is a well-known spot for a drink around sunset. The Cala de l’Andragó is a small cove; on our page about beaches in Moraira there is more about the coves in and around the village.
What you can eat and drink there
Algas keeps it simple: tapas and small dishes to share, such as calamares and ensaladilla rusa, with cocktails, wine and cava alongside. It is not a restaurant for a full dinner but a place for lunch by the sea, an afternoon on the terrace or an aperitif. Bar: Monday to Sunday 10:30–22:00. Kitchen: 10:30–20:00. Reservations are not taken. Times may change from season to season; check them on the website before you go.
Because you cannot book, in July and August it is wise to come outside the busiest moments, before the lunch peak or in the middle of the afternoon for instance. According to the website, contact goes by e-mail and social media; no telephone number is given.
What to pair it with
Algas fits well into a day on the coast. Come in the late morning, swim in the cove and stay for tapas at lunch. For dinner in the evening there is plenty of choice on the coast road, for instance Amantes de Moraira, where you can book.
