Sonos sound system

We chose the Sonos music system in our apartment because it allows all guests to play their own music via their smartphone, laptop or tablet. It is also possible to listen to digital radio stations from all over the world. In other words, the ideal system for everyone. It is also possible if you do not have music on your mobile devices with, for example, your Spottify account to stream music to the speakers. We chose a Sonos Play 3 in the living room and a Play 1 in the bedroom. This not only ensures optimal sound in these rooms, but when you sit on the balcony and have the doors open you get the sound to you optimally. We also have a Spotify account linked to the Sonos system on our iPad hanging on the wall, so if you do not have your own account or no music on your mobile devices, you can still play all the music you want.

🎵 Streaming music via Bluetooth to the Sonos Era

You can easily play music on the Sonos Era via Bluetooth directly from your phone or tablet. For more info on Sonos, visit the official Sonos website.

Here’s how it works:

• Turn on Bluetooth on your phone or tablet. What is Bluetooth?
• Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the back of the Sonos Era for a few seconds until the light blinks blue.
• On your phone, go to Bluetooth devices and select Sonos Era.
• Once connected, you can play music from any app such as Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music. More streaming tips

Music is now played directly through the Sonos Era.

Tip: The Sonos Era remembers the last connected device and automatically reconnects on subsequent use.

🎶 Playing music through the Sonos app (Sonos Era)

With the Sonos app, you can easily stream music to the Sonos Era over Wi-Fi. This works stably and offers the best sound quality. Learn more on the official Sonos website.

Here’s how to use the Sonos app:

• Download the Sonos app
  The app is available for free in the App Store (iOS) and the Google Play Store (Android).
• Connect to wifi
  Make sure your phone or tablet is connected to the same wifi network as the Sonos Era.
• Open the Sonos app
  The Sonos Era is automatically recognized and appears in the app.
• Choose a music service
  Go to Settings → Music Services and add your favorite service, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer or Amazon Music. Sign in with your own account.
• Select music
  Choose a song, album or playlist and select the Sonos Era as the playback device.
• Control your music
  Through the app, you can adjust the volume, skip or pause tracks. You can also have multiple Sonos speakers playing at the same time (if present).

• The Sonos app streams music via Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth. More about Bluetooth
• Your phone acts as a remote control; the music keeps playing even if you close the app.
• For fast playback, you can also use AirPlay (iOS) or Bluetooth.
