Villajoyosa \u2014 La Vila Joiosa \u2014 is het kleurrijke vissersdorp waar de gevels langs de rivier in fel oranje, blauw en roze zijn geschilderd, van oudsher zodat thuiskomende vissers hun huis al van ver op zee konden herkennen.<\/p>\n

Praktisch:<\/strong> het Valor Chocolademuseum, in de fabriek waar sinds 1881 chocolade wordt gemaakt, is gratis te bezoeken (Av. Pianista Gonzalo Soriano 13). Op doordeweekse dagen zijn er Engelstalige rondleidingen om 10:00 en 16:00 uur, de rondleiding zelf duurt ongeveer een uur inclusief proeverij. Parkeren kan niet op het terrein zelf, maar wel in de straten eromheen.<\/p>\n

Na het museum is het een korte wandeling naar de kleurrijke oude stad en de haven. Vanuit Moraira is het ongeveer 35 tot 40 minuten rijden.<\/p>\n

Villajoyosa is bekend om de felgekleurde gevels langs de haven \u2014 en de chocoladefabrieken. Een leuke aanvulling op een dag Costa Blanca vanuit Moraira.<\/p>\n
