Vall de Cavall is a restaurant in the countryside near Gata de Gorgos, within the municipality of D\u00e9nia, looking out at the Montg\u00f3. The kitchen describes itself as Mediterranean haute cuisine with international influences. The grounds combine a restaurant, horses, a swimming pool and accommodation, which makes for a setting quite unlike the restaurants on the Moraira coast.<\/p>\n

A restaurant among horses and greenery<\/h2>\n

Vall de Cavall was founded in 2006 by Peter and Ines. As the name suggests \u2014 cavall is Valencian for horse \u2014 horses have a part in the place. You eat here looking out at the greenery and at the Montg\u00f3, the mountain between D\u00e9nia and J\u00e1vea. For a long lunch on a sunny day or dinner on a summer evening it is a quiet spot, away from the bustle of the coast.<\/p>\n

The kitchen is led by chef Hatim Khaled. The restaurant calls its style alta cocina mediterr\u00e1nea internacional: refined Mediterranean dishes with influences from beyond the region.
