Peix i Brases in D\u00e9nia holds one Michelin star and sits on the Pla\u00e7a Benidorm by the harbour. There is a carte alongside two menus, and one thing matters here more than anywhere: book upstairs, because that is where the star applies.<\/p>\n

Upstairs or downstairs: here that is the difference between two restaurants<\/h2>\n

There are two establishments in the same building. Downstairs is the informal gastrobar, upstairs is the gastronomic dining room, with access to the Cielo roof terrace. The Michelin star applies to the room upstairs. Anyone coming for the starred experience therefore has to book upstairs explicitly; that is the mistake most often made at this address. There is an oyster bar in the entrance and there is a private room. The guide writes the name as Peix & Brases and the restaurant itself as Peix i Brases; both forms are in use.<\/p>\n

Peix i Brases is at Pla\u00e7a Benidorm 18 in D\u00e9nia, in the centre by the harbour. From Calamora it is about thirty kilometres, a drive of a good half hour.<\/p>\n

The menu and what they pour<\/h2>\n

The kitchen is Mediterranean and modern, with fish and fire as its starting point. There is a carte and there are two menus: Men\u00fa Origen at 99 euros and Recorrido Gastron\u00f3mico at 130 euros, VAT included. Those figures come from the menus of June 2026 and the menus change with the season.<\/p>\n

Their own site gives no times. Michelin gives only the lunch, Google the dinner as well. Ask when you book which times apply; the confirmation you get is the only hard source here.
