Bar Jimmy\u2019s is a Dutch pub on the promenade by l\u2019Ampolla beach, a few minutes\u2019 walk from Calamora. The owner, Theo, is behind the bar himself, there are sandwiches and bitterballen, and inside there is a screen with sport on it. This is where Dutch guests run into one another in Moraira.<\/p>\n

Sport on screen<\/h2>\n

Bar Jimmy\u2019s shows most football matches and puts Formula 1 on as well. Do bear in mind that it is a small bar with one screen indoors, and that screen is not large. You sit close together and it fills up quickly for a big match, so come early. The owners are Dutch, so the commentary is most likely to be in Dutch; if you want a particular match or a particular channel, or English commentary, call ahead.<\/p>\n

Location<\/h2>\n

The bar is on the Paseo del Senillar, the promenade along l\u2019Ampolla beach. From Calamora on the Avenida de Madrid you walk down to the beach first, about 200 metres, and then a short way further along the promenade.<\/p>\n

The kitchen and the menu<\/h2>\n

Not a restaurant menu but a pub menu: sandwiches, snacks and bitterballen, with beer and spirits alongside. Reviewers often mention that the food is better than you would expect from a pub.<\/p>\n
