If you would rather avoid Paris, you can also drive to Lyon via Luxembourg and eastern France; from Lyon on, the route is the same. Note that the A6\/A7 past Lyon lies outside the Lyon low-emission zone; you need a Crit\u2019Air sticker only if you leave the motorway there and head into the city.
