What you find at the market<\/h2>\n
The rastro began in 1992 with fourteen stalls and has grown into a market with more than 250 pitches. The emphasis is on things with a past: old furniture and household goods, ceramics and earthenware jugs, coins and stamps, old cameras, farm tools and collectables such as fossils and shells.<\/p>\n
If you are after fresh vegetables, fruit and everyday shopping, you are better off at the ordinary weekly markets. The market is by the river, beside the CV-750 road towards Alcalal\u00ed and Ll\u00edber. On Saturdays visitors also arrive by organised coach from Benidorm among other places, so it gets busy in and around the village as the morning goes on.<\/p>\n Where:<\/strong> Paseo de la Alameda, Jal\u00f3n (Xal\u00f3) Jal\u00f3n lies in the Vall de Pop and is known for its muscat wines. In the village itself is the wine cooperative Bodegas Xal\u00f3 (Cooperativa Virgen Pobre de Xal\u00f3), where you can taste and buy wine, mistela, vermouth and olive oil from the area.
