A circuit through the village<\/h2>\n
The simplest walk is the one along the water. The marina of Club N\u00e1utico Moraira, Platja de l\u2019Ampolla and the castle all lie close together. The castle of 1742, built to defend against pirates, stands on a rocky point above l\u2019Ampolla and looks out over the whole bay. It is a flat walk with no climbing, pleasant in the early morning or around sunset, and there are plenty of terraces along the way for a break. From Calamora the marina is some 250 metres away and the beach about 200 metres.<\/p>\n
If you want to walk a little further, you can explore the coast along the small, centrally placed coves of Les Platgetes, or seek out the pebble cove Cala de l\u2019Andrag\u00f3 by Cap Blanc a little beyond. That turns a beach stroll into an exploration of the rocky coast. The Torre del Cap d\u2019Or has a page of its own with practical tips: the climb to the Torre de Vig\u00eda<\/a>.<\/p>\n Google Maps<\/a> Google Maps<\/a><\/p>\n The old village of Teulada lies a few kilometres inland and is the starting point for quiet walks past almond trees and old farmhouses. Examples are the short outing to the spring and chapel of Font Santa (about an hour, easy), the walk to the old windmill of Els Castellons (about an hour) and the route via Benimeit to the cove of l\u2019Andrag\u00f3 (about two hours). That way you walk from the interior back to the coast.<\/p>\n About the walk to the Torre del Cap d\u2019Or<\/p>\n The tower is 11 metres high and had no door at ground level: the watchmen climbed in by rope ladder.
