In Moraira and in Teulada up the hill there is something on almost all year round. A procession of Moors and Christians that lasts ten days, a procession by sea for the patron saint of seafarers, a medieval market in the old village and, at the end of September, a Bavarian tent on the car park by the beach. Below is what happens when, with the weekly markets, the addresses and the times.<\/p>\n

The dates of the fiestas shift by a few days each year, because they hang on saints’ days and weekends. The years given below are those of 2026. At the foot of this page you will find where to get this year’s programme.<\/p>\n

The coming months<\/h2>\n

Outside the high season Moraira is quiet, but not silent. The weekly market<\/strong> goes ahead every Friday morning. In December there is a Christmas market<\/strong> in the centre and the village is lit up. On 5 January<\/strong> the Three Kings parade winds through the streets, and in the middle of January comes Sant Antoni<\/strong>, with bonfires and the blessing of the animals.<\/p>\n

The next big fiesta is Semana Santa in spring, followed by the patron saint fiestas of Teulada in April and the Moors and Christians at the beginning of June.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Fiestas through the year<\/h2>\n

January and February<\/h3>\n

5 January, Three Kings.<\/strong> At the start of the evening the Cabalgata de Reyes passes through Moraira. The three kings hand out sweets to the children; in harbour towns they often arrive across the water. For Spanish children this is the evening of presents, not Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n

Mid-January, Sant Antoni.<\/strong> The feast of the patron saint of animals, with bonfires and a blessing of the pets on the square.<\/p>\n

February, carnival.<\/strong> A fancy-dress parade through the village. The date hangs on Easter and so shifts from year to year.<\/p>\n

Spring<\/h3>\n

March or April, Semana Santa.<\/strong> In the week before Easter there are processions in both Teulada and Moraira.<\/p>\n

April, patron saint fiestas of Teulada.<\/strong> In honour of Sant Vicent Ferrer, the patron saint of the old village. In 2026 this fell around 9 to 13 April: traditional dress, music and processions through the narrow streets of the historic centre.<\/p>\n

June: Moors and Christians<\/h3>\n

The biggest fiesta in Moraira, and the one the village looks forward to all year. In 2026 it ran from 5 to 14 June. The filàs, the associations that form the Moorish and the Christian side, march through the village in costume. The fixed elements:<\/p>\n
